Our 60th Class Reunion was fantastic... we saw faces that we may not have seen for decades!
Our "committee" was pretty small... I had help from Pat Gayman Bates, Vicki Thornton McGahan, Kay Wallace Milller, Martha Weber Hocutt and Denny Sumner... but, if anyone would like to lend a hand on the next one... That would be great. Below are a few suggestions for the "NEXT" Reunion... Unfortunately... I'm finding that many have changed/abandoned their email and/or the phone number listed on their pages...

Hey Classmates,
Some of us have been wondering when (or if) a 65th Class Reunion will happen… Holy Cow… ** SIXTY FIVE YEARS **…
I’d like to get some input from everyone on this. First… Are you interested in having a 65th High School Reunion? Second… Will you plan to attend? Last… I’d appreciate your input on the information that follows.
Some of us have kicked around a few ideas…
Based on the availability of local facilities and, with the input of several of our fellow classmates, we’re considering August 3rd - 5th as a starting point for talking about our 65th Reunion. So far... I have no clue about Vandal or Cougar football home games so motel availability could be an issue. If not the 3rd… or... maybe a date in June or July would be better. I’d appreciate your input.
Here’s what I'm thinking… We could:
- Those interested could gather at Mingles on Friday evening to get re-acquainted and share one another’s company.
- Denny might be willing to contacting the folks at Russell School about a Saturday morning tour for those that would like to revisit our "grade-school" venue but I think I heard that the building itself may soon be history.
- If you like, classmates can get together for a no-host breakfast and/or lunch at a local restaurant.
- I wonder... Are there some that are still interest in playing golf... I'd appreciate some input on this.
- Gather for the Reunion dinner on Saturday evening at the Best Western… say… 5:30 to 11:00pm. Have a little program, and maybe this time we could let Denny relax and we could just play a little musing throught the sound system from “back in the day”.
- Those interested could get together for a no-host breakfast on Sunday morning before heading home.
Classmates could choose to do any or ALL those suggested above... OR... Maybe there's something that I haven't thought of yet....
Personally, I hope we’ll be able to have this chance to see each other again. Many of us have become “very mature”. Others have forgone "maturity" and maintained/regained our "childlike" ways... Those that reached these milestones could share a bit of what got them to those goals. Those of us still here and that haven’t matured yet… may benefit from your sharing.

I’m also hoping that some of you will encourage hard-to-reach classmates to consider joining us.
