Wow, has it already been 40 years! How time flies while you're having a good time. Yes I am still in Moscow.

After graduating from MHS I attended the University of Idaho and then North Idaho Junior College. In 1966 I married my wife Shirley Wilkinson of Sandpoint. We lived in Coeur d lane briefly before I went on vacation with Uncle Sam! I was drafted into the US Army. My time in the military took me to Viet Nam and Georgia. Our son Will was born while I was on duty in Viet Nam and our daughter Tammy was born while we were stationed in Georgia.

We enjoyed our time in the sunny South but desperately missed our families and the Northwest, so in 1971 we moved back to Moscow. Several autobody shops in the Moscow area employed me before I started my own business in 1974. My business, Greene's Body & Paint Service has become one of the premier repair shops in the Northwest, and I am pleased to have my son Will working as General Manager in the business.

We feel very blessed to have both of our children, their spouses and our wonderful grandchildren here in Moscow. They truly are the best part of our lives. Shirley and I spend many wonderful hours with our grandchildren and enjoy participating in many aspects of their lives. Our oldest grandchild is 12 and our youngest is now 7. They are very active in sports and church activities.

Shirley and I have led the University Ministries group at the Moscow Nazarene Church for the last 3 years. The students are wonderful to work with and are keeping us very young at heart. We prepare lunch for up to 40 each week and teach a Bible study at the church, we also enjoy ski retreats and concerts with the students, and many of them consider our house their home away from home!

In 1997 I fulfilled a lifetime dream by getting my private pilot's license. I was able to purchase a Cessna 182 airplane and it has been exciting to have the freedom and convenience to travel around the country in my own plane. I also find it very relaxing to just fly around the local area after a long day at work.

Traveling has been an important part of our journey. Shirley and I have had opportunities to go to many foreign countries. Our daughter was with the US Army in 1990 and was stationed in Korea; this gave us a wonderful excuse to visit much of the Orient. We took almost a month and traveled to Korea, Hong Kong, China, and Thailand. In the 1990's we took two cruises to Mexico and Puerto Rico. In 1999 our life was blessed beyond description as we traveled to Israel for a tour of the Holy Land. We have also coordinated two Work & Witness trips through our church.  We took a team to San Pedro Sula, Honduras in 2000 too build a parsonage for the Nazarene Pastor and in 2002 we took another team to the Kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific to build a hospital for handicapped children. Both of these trips were very meaningful as we were able to witness to many people and to personally meet some of their physical needs.

I am looking forward to renewing old friendships as we meet this summer in Moscow for our 40th reunion.
