Finally... a very good friend has taken it upon herself to help pull me through. She started a "Purple Heart Fund"...

Finally I am able to connect to MHS. I am so sorry to have missed the 40th reunion. I tried to find out about MHS having any reunions years ago but to no avail. So now I have a way to connect. Yeah!!!

Please find attached an updated picture of me. I have had a great life thus far. After high school I attend Northwest Nazarene College, Point Loma Nazarene College and then Eastern Washington University where I received a degree in Speech Pathology. I have been a Speech Pathologist in the educational setting for 38 years. I recently started my own business, Circle of Friends Advocacy (check out my website: www.circleoffriendsadvocacy.com ) as a Special Education Advocate/Consultant. I work with families who have kids with Special Needs and are struggling with the schools to get the appropriate services for their child. I am having a blast!!

I was married for 25 years, but am now single. I have one daughter, Amanda. She is so beautiful. She and Jon have been married for almost 8 years. She is director of Goddard Preschool in Portland. Jon has his own business as well. He does special effects for movies, commercials, etc while also working at Bank of America. I am so very proud of my wonderful kids!!

I am so glad I found the website for MSH 1964. I really enjoyed viewing the class pictures at the 40th reunion.

Jon Whisman, my son in law has his name in the credits of MILK. He 'fixed' the makeup on Sean Penn in a few scenes using his visual effects techniques. He also won a Telly Award for his work on the Gutterguard commercial for Gutterglove, which also won 3 more awards at the Hollywood Film Festival. We are so proud of Jon.

If anyone has or knows of a student with disability who is not receiving appropriate services in the school setting let me know. I can help the family. I go wherever there is a need.
